Looking at current trends, do you think oil and natural gas prices will go down or up in months to come?
"Current" trends will be useless for forcasting after the US elections. Depending on who retains what, and where they retain it, gas could remain stable. It could also go bugnuts! Since the election is so close, it is useless to try to figure fuel prices from "current" trends for more than a few weeks in the future.

Natural Gas Prices should I lock???
I have been having companies calling me about locking in my gas prices I did this 5 years ago locking @ 27.3 it expired..Now it is 41.3m2 I really not sure on what to do.Are these things a gimmeck?
It is kinda like the stock market. It could go up and it could go down.(Unlikely) We always get summer fill up with propane and then lock in a price for the rest of the winter. So far, we have saved money. Our locked price was cheaper than what it would have been in later months.

Is there a ticker for Natural Gas prices at British BTU?
well…NG is quoted in US dollars per Million BTU’s at the regional hubs and the furtures contracts sizes on the futures exchanges are 10,000mm BTU’s. So I guess if you took the NG contract price and divided by 10bb, you could get the cost per BTU.
Contracts are quoted as NG1 (near contract), NG2 (next contract) etc. on most systems.
OR – you can try this
NGX6 or some variant like NG/X or NG/X6 to get you the near contract (9/28/06-current). change the letter X to:
Y for the November contract and Z for the December contract.
