PostHeaderIcon What is the best natural gas vehicle?

what is better car between hybrid and natural gas vehicles

Natural gas vehicles such as the Honda Civic GX have the lowest emissions of any internal combustion engine on the planet. cars like this have been around in fleets for years and have excellent reliability. However, it is very hard to find public fueling stations that sell natural gas, so Gas-Electric Hybrid vehicles are almost as clean, almost as inexpensive to operate, yet have much greater real-world useability since you can refuel anywhere.

PostHeaderIcon Are natural gas E350 vans any good?

I have the chance to buy one for a good price but don’t know too much about natural gas vehicles. Any input would be appreciated.

As an employee of a large natural gas company, we ran and used these ngv’s I had a full sized van…it was dual fuel…natural gas and gasoline.
The natural gas has several disadvantages…finding a fueling station and back then it was time consuming to fuel, as the gas has to be compressed. also the natural produces far less btu’s [energy] than the gasoline…there fore a tank of natural gas goes very quickly, as compared to gasoline. Also the natural gas does not have the same preformance [horse power]
We also had some issues when switching between fuels…

Personally, I would not buy one

PostHeaderIcon How much less emissions go into the air when you use a natural gas vehicle over a gasoline vehicle?

Why not try HHO? It costs a lot less than the conversion to Propane or Natural Gas, saves more gas and reduces emission drastically.

PostHeaderIcon whats the difference between a Hybrid and Natural Gas vehicle?

are they the same?

A hybrid is just an architecture. You could have a hybrid running on gasoline, natural gas, diesel, etc. Natural gas is just a different fuel. It runs in a modified gasoline engine usually.

A hybrid combines a battery, electric motor(s), and an internal combustion (usually gasoline fuel) engine.

You’ll sometimes see vehicles running on NG. Utility companies sometimes have pickups or trucks modified slightly to run on NG.
