Once the technology evolves more so that they can run at the same rate as a gasoline vehicle, I would definitely consider it. That’s waaaaaay to much of a hit on HP.

Check out Brazil – They have 3 fuel choices (excluding trucks, which use diesel and, soon, biodiesel): the standard gasoline, ethanol and natural gas. Ethanol is cheaper than gasoline and ethanol cars have been produced there since the late 70’s; Natural Gas is even cheaper than ethanol, and natural gas cars are a common choice for taxis in major Brazilian cities. The problem is that ng-cars have reduced mileage and lower hp (ethanol instead, increases hp)

I just converted my Scion xA to CNG and I’m real pleased with it. Unfortunately, it cost over $5000 to convert. I can run on gasoline or CNG. The Cvic GX was too expensive and only runs on CNG. Some days I’m in a gasoline mood and some days I’m in a CNG mood.

you can get any …
you can get any full injection car runnig with natural gas as long as the compression is higher than than 130 psi. And they are completely safe. it wont burn so don’t worry, and gas here in venezuela is free lol
