Only three weeks ago, Boone and Congressman Rahm Emanuel held a Chicago Town Hall on the Pickens Plan. Rahm said, “I am so proud to say I agree with Boone on putting more natural gas vehicles on the road.”

God Bless Mr. Pickens for having the ability to see the major problems the USA will have if we do not reduce tremendously our consumption of oil.
He is attempting to actually implement his vision. Our pathetic politicians will wait until we are in a crisis.

We have 2.2 Terawatts of wind potential
up to 100 meters in the central 12 US states.
Look up ‘wind power united states’ on
wikipedia, it lists to 50 meters.
That is far more than what Pickens even
plans for his idea.
I can’t imagine the amount of power with
200 meter turbines.
The worlds largest wind turbine is now the Enercon E-126 at 7 megawatts, and 137 meters.
